Our authors include:

Misha Burnett: Misha has been writing poetry and fiction for around forty years. During this time he has supported himself and his family with a variety of jobs, including locksmith, cab driver, and building maintenance. His first four novels, Catskinner’s Book, Cannibal Hearts, The Worms Of Heaven, and Gingerbread Wolves comprise a series, “The Book Of Lost Doors.” Major influences include Tim Powers, Samuel Delany, William Burroughs, and Phillip K. Dick.

Michael Connon: Michael has written for TV, radio and the stage. His short stories have won awards in the UK and US and have been published in several anthologies. He currently lives in the North East of England with a black cat which he feels is appropriate to this collection.

Steve Cook: Steve is an author and teacher. Previously, his work has been published in Amygdala magazine, Cogs In Time 3, ‘Avast, Ye Pirates, and Broadswords and Blasters 2. He publishes free flash fiction twice weekly on his Patreon, ‘Giant’s Reach’, and short stories once a month.

L.C. Gibson: L.C. is a retired Marine Officer who currently works at one of those three letter agencies that you love to hate. He lives in Northern Virginia with his wife and a spoiled rotten rescue dog of uncertain antecedents.

Jake Lithua: Jake was forever corrupted at the age of 5, when he discovered his father’s Dungeons & Dragons Basic Set. Ever since, he has been interested in telling stories of heroism and courage, fantastical or real-world. His short story “The Most Powerful Weapon” will be published in a forthcoming anthology in Fall 2018. He lives far too close to Washington DC for anyone’s good.

Will Neely: Will is a musician and author. This will be his first time in print.

J.S. Rogers: J.S. has been writing since she could get her hands on a pencil and paper. These days, she writes as a freelancer for her day job and pens fiction by night. Her fiction has previously appeared in “Untethered: A Magic iPhone Anthology.” She can be followed on Twitter at @j_srogers.

Aaron Smith: Aaron is a family law attorney practicing in San Diego, CA where he lives with his wife, son and two pitbulls. He has previously been published in Microhorror.com, Liberty Island, PJ Media and had short stories published in the anthologies California Screamin’ and Trump Utopias and Dystopias. His story “Meat Market,” has been selected for the forthcoming anthology MCSI: Magical Crime Scene Investigation.

Max Sparber: Max is an author from Minneapolis. His speculative fiction has appeared in “The Best of Strange of Strange Horizons: Year One” and “People of the Book: A Decade of Jewish Science Fiction and Fantasy.”

Wondra Vanian: Wondra is an American who lives in the United Kingdom with her husband and an army of fur babies. A writer first, Wondra Vanian is also an avid gamer, photographer, cinephile, and blogger. She was a multiple Top-Ten finisher in the 2017 Preditors and Editors Reader’s Poll, including in the Best Author category.

Alyssa N. Vaughn: Alyssa is a writer and teacher from Dallas, Texas. She enjoys knowing the locations of obscure shops with unusual wares, but her favorites are always the ones with books. You can follow her on Twitter @msalyssaenvy.

Vanessa Wells: Vanessa lives with her family in an enchanted forest…in Texas. She spends her time battling infestations of plot bunnies (and dust bunnies, but that’s a different matter entirely). She’s currently working on the next trilogy in the Seventeen Stones world, a new prequel to Topeka, and a series of science fiction shorts called Area 52.
